Just a Dip workshop with Samantha Emanuel
Join England’s international belly dance super star in her first Toronto workshops. This workshop is designed for beginner belly dance students who want to further develop their skills. Sam believes that "To have a healthy plant you need to encourage its growth at its roots" and has designed this workshop to do just that. With drills utilizing various isolations, this workshop also focuses on the strong upper body carriage so stylistic of Tribal Style belly dance. With repetition and reinforcement of these elements, you’ll hone clean articulation through the whole body whilse striving to project the strength and open frame characteristic of well executed Tribal belly dance.
This workshop is for those with a little knowledge and experience in tribal or tribal fusion belly dance who wish to learn from the lovely Sam and who have an interest in further developing their skills. Students from The Dark Side Studio who are in Basic Black or who are taking their first session of Lavender or those outside the studio with a little tribal or tribal fusion knowledge are encouraged to participate in this workshop. If you’re not sure if this workshop is suited to you, please ask Audra. Workshop is limited to 17 participants in total.
